Assembly service

For some, assembling is fun and fulfilling, while for others it can be a challenge. On our website, you'll find product-specific assembly instructions, estimated assembly times, and prices for our assembly service. The choice is yours.

Skilled, convenient and safe

The professional assembly team makes building your climbing frame hassle-free. They're experienced and ensure everything is done right, saving you time and effort. The team will assemble your climbing frame according to strict safety guidelines, providing you with peace of mind and building a play area that meets all regulations.

Schedule your assembly

Within one week of your purchase, the assembly team will contact you to schedule an assembly date and time. The assembly will be scheduled on a separate day from your climbing frame delivery. Please purchase your assembly service together with your climbing frame, or at least within a week of your purchase.

Please note that unfortunately, we do not offer assembly services in Scotland. For assembly service in Northern Ireland, an additional fee of approximately £0.75 per km may be charged for assemblies 40 km outside of Belfast.

The assembly process

It is important that you are present during assembly in order to determine the exact location of the playset, and discuss anchoring options. The assembly team will bring all the necessary tools to carry out the assembly as efficiently as possible. To ensure a smooth assembly, please make sure that:

  • The delivered product is checked to ensure all components have been delivered (timber, kits, slide, swings seats, ground anchors).
  • The climbing frame will be assembled on a suitable surface, such as grass or sand. For information on alternative surfaces, please refer to our general safety instructions.
  • The assembly surface is flat and non-sloped. Sloping ground can cause the climbing frame to lean or “rack”. This puts additional stress on all connections and joints, which in time will cause them to loosen and fail.
  • The surface is free of obstacles such as stones, trees, roots or sprinkler equipment. For safety reasons, it is recommended that you have at least 2 metres of free space around the playground equipment.
  • The surface has access to water and electricity. Any additional adjustments will result in extra costs.
  • For safety reasons, children should not be present during assembly.

Anchoring for stability

We strongly recommend anchoring for added stability. Ground anchors are always included with Jungle Gym climbing frames, suitable for anchoring with or without concrete. For Hy-Land commercial climbing frames, anchors need to be purchased separately.

The assembly team offers various anchoring options. Depending on your garden soil conditions they will advise you on the best option. If the soil conditions make it easy for the anchors to be pulled out and/or the surface is not completely flat and level, we recommend anchoring in concrete or optimal stability and safety. The assembly team may offer you one of the following options:

Basic anchoring
  • The anchors are screwed into the ground
  • The supporting beams rest directly on the ground
Anchoring in fast-setting concrete
  • The supporting beams rest directly on the ground
  • Additional cost of approximately £20 per anchor
Anchoring with Jungle Gym XL ground anchors in fast-setting concrete
  • The playset is elevated above the ground to prevent wood rot
  • Allows for level installation of the playset on a slightly non-level surface
  • Additional cost of  approximately £40 per anchor
Anchoring of Hy-Land commercial climbing frames EN 1766
  • An additional cost of approximately £100 per anchor, including concrete.
  • To determine the exact costs, please discuss this with the assembly team.

Changes to the original design

The climbing frame will be assembled in accordance with the Jungle Gym assembly instructions. If you request the construction team to build it differently, this will be at your own risk. Modifications may jeopardise the safety and warranty of the product. It might also take longer or cost more than expected.

Weather delays

In rare instances, assembly might be postponed if the ground is temporarily too muddy or frozen to ensure proper anchoring. The assembly team will keep you updated in such situations.
